Preparation for Mach Exhibition
Preparations for the MACH2024 Exhibition began well in advance for us at Fabertec. As a small company, we knew we had to put in extra effort to make a big impact at the event. Despite having numerous installations, services, and new orders in the pipeline, our dedicated team managed everything easily. In the days leading up to the exhibition, our engineers meticulously packed the machines and essential materials, ensuring everything was ready well ahead of schedule at the NES exhibition hall. Their hard work and dedication, often burning the midnight oil, played a pivotal role in our preparedness for the show.
Our second team arrived on Sunday night, fully committed to making the exhibition a success from Monday to Friday. Charles (Founder) even brought his 12-year-old son along, eager to expose him to the world of business. He believed that his son could learn valuable lessons at the exhibition that he couldn't in school. At Fabertec, we pride ourselves on being a friendly, transparent, and affordable provider of quality machines.
Day 1 at MACH Exhibition
The first day of the MACH2024 exhibition was filled with excitement and anticipation. As the bell rang to mark the start of the event, we eagerly awaited the arrival of visitors. Although the crowd was smaller compared to the following days, we were thrilled to meet customers and interact with other exhibitors from around the globe. The first day also provided us with a valuable opportunity to connect with other prominent players in the market. We had previously only heard about these companies and seen their products online, Seeing their products in person was inspiring and informative, opening up new possibilities for our own development.
Throughout the day, we engaged with attendees, showcasing our flagship product, the Big Toy Fiber Laser FL4. It was gratifying to see the interest and enthusiasm our laser garnered from potential clients. Despite the initial calmness, the day turned out to be fruitful, laying a promising foundation for the rest of the exhibition.
Day 2 at MACH Exhibition
As we prepared to leave our hotel for the second day of the exhibition, we anticipated a busy schedule ahead. Day 2 kicked off with a significant sale right out of the gate: our Fiber Laser FL4 was sold immediately to a client in Gloucestershire taking advantage of our introductory offer of 5% off. The customer was keen to secure the purchase before the offer expired, impressed by the machine's capability to cut thicker materials. Charles adeptly showcased its potential, sealing the deal swiftly as confirmation arrived in our inbox.
Throughout the day, our booth saw a steady stream of visitors, with numerous inquiries about both the FL3 and FL4 models. Surprisingly, many customers drawn to our fiber lasers also expressed interest in our prominent CNC router machine M2 1325. Each interaction served as a valuable learning experience for us.
By day's end, we had secured several significant purchases, though not all inquiries translated into immediate sales. Nonetheless, we were confident that many of these interested parties would return to finalize their decisions soon.

Day 3 at MACH 2024 Exhibition
As Day 2 came to a close, we received exciting news that Day 3 was expected to bring in a staggering 8,000 visitors. With this in mind, our Fabertec team geared up with renewed energy, knowing that Days 2 to 4 were the main highlights of the exhibition. We anticipated that visitors from the first two days would return to finalize their orders.
True to our expectations, Day 3 was bustling with activity. Our stand was inundated with eager customers, keeping our entire team engaged. Junior Charles (Micheal Mazur Slowikowski) found himself leaping from his chair to attend to the influx of clients. Interestingly, some visitors who had seen our social media posts were drawn to our M2 CNC router, but after assessing their needs, Charles recommended the M1 1530 CNC Router.
By the end of the three-day exhibition, our sales numbers were impressive: 3 FL3 Fiber Laser Cutters, 4 M2 CNC Routers, 2 M1 CNC Routers, and 2 FL4 Fiber Laser Cutters, totaling over £580k in net sales value. This success left us feeling confident and motivated to continue pushing forward.
Day 4 at MACH Exhibition
As each day passed, the Fabertec stand continued to buzz with activity, attracting a growing number of visitors and closing more deals. Interest in our FL4 Fiber Laser remained high, with some customers eager to visit our workshop and witness firsthand how the machine performs with their own materials. We happily welcomed them, showcasing the machine's capabilities and solidifying their interest.
Additionally, there was notable interest in our FL3 Fiber Laser machine. Fully prepared to demonstrate its cutting prowess, we accommodated customer requests to cut various thicknesses of materials on the spot, leaving them impressed with the results. By the end of the fourth day, our cart was filled with significant orders, reflecting the success and impact of our presence at the exhibition.
Day 5 at MACH Exhibition
On the final day of the exhibition, the atmosphere at our Fabertec stand was charged with energy and anticipation. With the knowledge that this was the last opportunity for attendees to explore our offerings, visitors flocked to our booth with a sense of urgency.
Throughout the day, we fielded inquiries, conducted demonstrations, and finalized deals with efficiency and enthusiasm. Interest in our products remained high, particularly in our FL4 Fiber Laser, which continued to impress potential customers. Similarly, the FL3 Fiber Laser remained a star attraction, with attendees lining up to see its spot cutting capabilities on materials of varying thicknesses. As the exhibition drew to a close, our stand buzzed with activity until the final moments. With a flurry of last-minute inquiries we wrapped up the event on a high note. Reflecting on the past four days, we were filled with a sense of achievement and optimism for the future. With significant orders secured and new connections made, we left the exhibition hall with renewed motivation and excitement for the journey ahead.
On Saturday, our team of engineers carefully packed all the machines, ensuring their safe transport back to our showroom in Brigg, Lincolnshire.
